Unhappily divorced private detective Agatha Raisin generally avoids divorce cases, and she takes an immediate dislike to Robert Smedley, a prissy control freak convinced that his wife Mabel is seeing another man. However, Agatha needs the work, so she accepts the man as a client in this, the 16th cozy mystery to bear her name. Although Agatha can`t find any evidence of Mabel`s infidelity, the case takes a nasty and intriguing turn when someone murders Robert and the police pin the crime on Mabel.
